About the Centre

The Centre for Sport Policy Studies is an internationally recognized hub and repository for research into sport, policy and development (broadly defined). Members and Associates of the Centre conduct research under three main categories:

  1. INCLUSIVE AND EQUITABLE SPORT FOR ALL

  2. HEALTHY HIGH PERFORMANCE SPORT

  3. SPORT FOR DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE

Throughout its existence, research projects conducted through the Centre have produced empirically based, critically informed, and theoretically driven results aimed at academics, students, and policy makers.

The vision and scope of the Centre aligns with goals outlined in the current Academic Plan of the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education (2022-2027), particularly “Elevating health and well-being” and “Igniting transformative inclusivity.”
